THE LAST LOVE STORY
I gleaned a peek of you, my sweet.
A full, long, hearty look was took,
Of all of you, from the vertex
Of your sweet, soft thighs
To the glimmer of your bright, blue eyes.
Ah! I sighed, a splendid sight,
Yet, what of her?
I took mind to learn of this girl,
A woman, I did find.
Full-balanced, strong and bright;
A cautious lady, sure to fight.
I opened my heart as best I could, and ...
Well, it has taken an effort,
Great effort, to open this wonderful pearl.
The sinewy muscle and strengthened mind
Took all the spirit and soul combined
To free this love of ours.
